S. McGregor

Scott McGregor was appointed member of the Group Management Committee of Philips and president/CEO of Philips Semiconductors with effect from January 1 2002.

Scott McGregor joined Philips Semiconductors in February 1998 with responsibility for the newly created unit Emerging Businesses, focusing on creating fast-growing markets such as Smart Cards, Networking, Digital Media Processing, and Computing.

Prior to Philips, he held senior management positions at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, Microsoft, Digital Equipment (now Compaq), and SCO.

Scott McGregor holds a BA in Psychology, and an MS in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Stanford University.
