Philips DAP breakthroughs |
|
Most people's lives today have been touched in some way by breakthrough innovations from Philips, such as the audio-cassette or the CD. In fact, the imaginative application of advanced technology to meet people's everyday needs has always been the driving force behind Philips. And this spirit can be seen at work at DAP in some of the division's many success stories:
|
|
Cool Skin
Philips leads the market in electric shaving, having sold more than 400 million shavers since 1939. Its Philishave brand (Norelco in the USA) is - and has been for decades - one of the strongest brand names in personal care appliances. The tradition of successful innovation continues today with Cool Skin, the electric shaver that combines the benefits of both wet and dry shaving by incorporating Nivea shaving balsam. It can even be used in the shower!
Sonicare
Electric toothbrushing has been shown to be better than manual brushing. Now Philips has gone a significant step further, with the introduction of the Sonicare, which uses sonic technology to produce a unique vibration with superb cleaning power, destroying bacteria and removing plaque.
Senseo®
A marketing sensation in those countries in which it has been launched, the Senseo® cup-by-cup coffee system (produced in collaboration with Sara Lee | Douwe Egberts) makes use of advanced machine technology and cleverly designed filters to provide a sensational cup of freshly brewed coffee in a matter of seconds.
