How does BlueTouch differ from heat patches (ABC Pflaster, ThermaCare etc)?

Published on 2017-05-05

There are several advantages of Philips BlueTouch compared to heat patches.

Differences

  • BlueTouch is an effective combination of warmth and blue light, triggering the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the skin. Both lead to increased local blood stimulation, inducing pain relief. Regular heat patches or plasters do not stimulate the release of NO.
  • BlueTouch can be used for years, whereas the plasters need changing and renewal.
  • Also, BlueTouch does not induce the allergic reactions that are related to the glue used in plasters.
