When treating congenital heart disease, workflow standardization and streamlining help boost efficiency, save time, and enhance teamwork. The Azurion CHD suite was designed to integrate information from multiple sources and save procedure time through flexible and user-centric display and control options. By adapting to your workflow needs, the system works seamlessly around you so that you may focus on your patient. The Azurion platform also benefits from drastic radiation reduction specifically tuned for pediatric patients1, 2, 3.
VesselNavigator provides live image guidance to help navigating vascular structures based on high resolution diagnostic CT or MRI reconstructions and segmentations. It is designed to be intuitive and easy to use by providing step-by-step workflow guidance as well ring landmarks to indicate the location of ostia, landing zones, or optimal projection angles. In the example above, VesselNavigator is used to mark the landing zone as well as to visualize the distance to the left subclavian artery ostium during stenting of a coarctation of the aorta.
HeartNavigator is a CT planning and live guidance solution using automatic heart model segmentation. It facilitates procedure planning, provides confidence before entering the examination room by having planning information at hand, and adds the ability to overlay planned targets, landing zones, and anatomical boundaries onto live fluoroscopy. In the example above, HeartNavigator is used to segment and visualize aorto-pulmonary collaterals in a 1-day old child with Tetralogy of Fallot. These segmentations can then be used as fluoroscopic overlays to facilitate navigation and reduce contrast injections.
EchoNavigator reorients and combines ultrasound and X-ray information into a single augmented visualization for guidance and device-tissue relationship assessment. It enables: In the video above, courtesy of Dr. Jone, Colorado Chidren’s Hospital, the different features of EchoNavigator are illustrated during a mitral balloon valvuloplasty procedure.
SmartCT brings the power of 3D rotational angiography at your fingertips:
This is just one of the many improvements in lab performance achieved by the Interventional Vascular Department at St. Antonius Hospital after installing the Azurion system. The first Azurion lab performance study achieved impressive results which have been verified by an independent third party.

Philips Ultrasound provides a wide range of transducers, from fetal to adult congenital, with dedicated imaging capabilities, workflow quantification, and powered by Anatomical Intelligence for routine quantification.
CHD patients and their parents often experience anxiety leading to a procedure, peaking when entering the unfamiliar cath lab environment. Ambient Experience creates an engaging, multi-sensorial environment that helps distract and relax patients. They can influence their own experience by selecting themes in dynamic lighting, music, and video. Ambient Experience also improves staff satisfaction, as well as the reputation and perception of hospitals through the testimonials of satisfied patients
The Philips Hemo System enables continuous monitoring and simplifies your workflow by simply docking the IntelliVue X3 at tableside to immediately serve as your intraprocedural hemodynamic monitoring system. The new graphical interface also facilitates control at tableside through the touch screen module, improves communication in the lab by visualizing the analysis in the exam room, and enhances workflow through integrated valve gradient assessment.
