Why does my Philips receiver heat up?

Published on 2017-02-28

It is advisable not to put any objects on top of the receiver that could possibly block the ventilation holes.

If the receiver ever gets too hot, more internal fans will be activated to attempt to cool it down. If this does not work, the receiver will automatically go to standby to protect the unit from damage. It can be powered up again when the receiver unit gets cooler.
