Can I install and watch both digital cable (DVB-C) and digital terrestrial (DVB-T) channels in my Philips TV?

Published on 2016-12-29

Yes you can. First, you have to carry out the channel search with Antenna and repeat it with Cable.

Your TV has an integrated tuner that enables you to view free cable (or digital DVB-C) channels from the cable provider and free-to-air antenna (or digital DVB-T) channels. It is not possible to watch both DVB-C and DVB-T channels at the same time. When you switch between the respective networks, you will need to switch the corresponding antenna cables as well.

To watch the channels from each installation, you need to switch between Antenna (DVB-T) and Cable (DVB-C) in the TV's Menu.

Follow these procedures to select Antenna or Cable mode:

  1. Press the[Home] button on the remote control to access the [Home] menu.
  2. Use the cursor buttons [Up][Down][Left][Right] to select [Setup] and press the [OK] button to confirm.
  3. Select [Channel settings] and press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Channel installation] and press the cursor[Right].
  5. If the Child lock is activated, the screen will prompt you to enter your pin code. If you have forgotten your pin code, you can reset the pin code in the [Setup] > [Channel settings] > [Child lock] > [Change code] Menu. Refer to the FAQ (I have forgotten my 4-digit pin code. How can I reset it?).
  6. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Installation mode] and press the cursor [Right].
  7. Select [Antenna (DVB-T)] or [Cable (DVB-C)] and press the [OK] button to confirm.
  8. Press the [Back] button to exit the Menu.
