There are two conditions to be fulfilled before the receiver can output Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio.
a) The Blu-ray discs must contain the Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio tracks.
b) The Blu-ray player must be connected to the receiver via HDMI. As Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio occupies very high bandwidth, only the HDMI interface is capable of transferring such information.
Note : The receiver will never output Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio if the Blu-ray Player is connected to the receiver via optical/coaxial link.
