If your Philips Handheld Steamer or Steam Iron stopped heating up, there can be several reasons. Please find out more in this article.
My Philips Handheld Steamer or Steam Iron does not heat up
Auto-shut off
If you leave your Philips Handheld Steamer unused for two to five minutes, it will automatically reduce the temperature and switch off. To resume ironing, you need to turn on the appliance again. If you want to learn more about the auto shut-off feature, please refer to the User Manual that came with your specific model.
Descaling mode is set
When the appliance is in descaling mode, it will not heat up or produce steam unless the descaling process is started with additional steps. When steam ironing, make sure the appliance is set to steam mode.
There is a power connection problem
Please check the main cord, the plug, and the wall socket. Make sure everything is properly connected. If the socket feels loose, please try a different one.
