If your Philips garment steamer is leaking from its base, there might be some possible causes. Discover here to resolve this.
The base of my Philips Garment Steamer is leaking
The hose is forming a U shape
If your garment steamer’s hose is forming a U shape, condensation might not be able to flow into the water tank. This will cause the base to leak.
If this is the case, please re-position the hose making sure it is straight, and lift up the head so condensation can flow back into the tank.
The poles are not fully extended
If the poles are not fully extended, your steamer’s hose will form a U shape and condensation might not be able to flow into the water tank. This can also cause water leakage from the base.
In this case, please extend the poles. This will lift up the hose so condensation can flow back into the tank.
De-calc knob is not secured
If the De-calc knob is not secured, this will cause the water to leak from the base.
Please make sure the De-calc knob is secure.
The water tank’s filling cap is not secured
If the water tank’s filling cap is not secured, your Philips garment steamer could leak.
If this is the case, please secure the water tank’s filling cap to fix it.
