  • Nutrition Tips:
  • The colorful veggie skewers has a reduced meat content, which has a lower energy content and more balanced nutrients. Adopting rainbow diet by consuming vegetables and fruit of different colours allows intake of more diversed antioxidants, makes you glow and energetic even on a diet; at the same time prevent cancers and cardiovascular diseases.
  • This is because vegetables of different colors contain different antioxidants with different functions. For example, anthocyanin in eggplants lessen the harmful effects of blue light to the eyes; lutein in zucchinis prevent prevalence of Macular Degeneration; lycopene in tomatoes prevents prevalence of prostate cancer and resists harmful effects of UV light to the skin. Cutting the vegetables into the shape of thick ribbon using the spiral blade makes the skewers look more appetizing, especially to small children who do not like eating vegetables. Slicing the zucchini and eggplant thinly reduce cooking time and as a result, prevent the loss of nutrients. Baking with the Airfryer gives a crispiness to the vegetables, and enrich the skewers with various textures.
