Elegant Banana Cake

  • Cake:Bananas 2 pcs (Ripe, Mashed)
  • Lemon Juice 1 tsp
  • Plain Flour 1 1/2 cup
  • Baking Soda 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Butter 1/4 cup (Softened)
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Egg 1 pc
  • Vanilla Oil 1 tsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Frosting: Butter 1/2 cup (Softened)
  • Cream Cheese 120g (Softened)
  • Vanilla Oil 1/2 tsp
  • Icing Sugar 1 1/2 cup


  • 1. Mix mashed banana with lemon juice, set aside. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt, set aside.
  • 2. Use an electric beater to whisk butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Slowly pour in egg and vanilla oil to mix. Followed by flour mixture, with milk alternatively. Finally pour in banana mixture to mix.
  • 3. Grease an 8" baking tray and pour in the cake mixture. Put the baking tray in the basket. Airfry at 140oC for 60 minutes. Insert toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready! Remove the baking tray from Airfryer and store it directly in the fridge freezer for 30 minutes.
  • 4. To prepare the frosting, use an electric beater to whisk butter and cream cheese until smooth, then beat in vanilla oil. Add icing sugar and beat at low speed until the sugar is well dissolved. Finally turn to high speed blending until frosting is smooth and silky.
  • 5. Spread the frosting mixture over the cooled cake evenly by a spatula. Garnish the cake.
