What type of Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is available on my Philips TV?

Published on 2016-12-29

EPG is an on-screen guide available for digital channels ONLY and it does not display the upcoming analog TV programs that are scheduled for the coming days.

EPG allows you to view a list of digital programs being broadcast. Proceed as follows to consult the guide:

  1. Press the [Browse] button on the remote control to display the browse TV menu.
  2. Select [Program Guide] and press the [OK] button to confirm.
  3. Follows the on-screen instruction to complete the update, if you access it for the first time.
  4. In EPG view, you are able to use the EPG options menu to set or clear reminders, change day and access other useful EPG options. These options are only accessible for 8 days of TV channel information.

The type of EPG depends on the country setting on your TV.

Note:

If you receive the TV signal through a set-top box, you may be able to pass its EPG data to your TV. Usually this works by changing a setting in the menu or by pressing a button on the remote control. The availability of this feature depends on the manufacturer and model of your set-top box, so please consult its user manual.

The list below contains all countries where an ‘8-day’ EPG is available. The ‘8 day’ EPG allows you to monitor the digital TV programs that are scheduled for the coming 8 days.

If your country does not appear in the list, then your EPG is enabled with ‘Now + Next’ EPG. The ‘Now + Next’ EPG only allow you to monitor information about the next digital TV program.
